BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE



An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join a growing team on a full time basis as a new Business Development Executive. The role does not come with prescribed methods of "how to get the job done" - instead, we are looking for an individual who can create strategies, execute and report on them. You'll be reporting into the Managing Partner and will play a vital role for the next phase of exciting growth!



The primary role of the Business Development Executive is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. You must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business. You must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description, since it is the Business Development Executive's responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming in to the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company's competitors.



The main duties of the role can be summarised as follows:

- Lead initial prospect meetings

- Prepare proposals

- Book/arrange 2nd meetings and present the fee proposal

- Following up of leads generated through marketing activities

- Generate new revenue from a variety of products/services

- Ensure a sufficient pipeline exists to support targeted growth figures

- Lead client pitch team as well as responding to tender requests

- Develop and maintain client relationships

- Pro-actively work with the internal support team to deliver client expectations
