Exemplar Health Care provide specialist nursing care for adults with acute physical, mental and learning disabilities in 25 purpose-built homes across the Midlands, Yorkshire, Humberside and the North West.

Thanks to our successful track record of delivering individualized care of the very highest quality, we are preparing to open our next newly built facility in Liverpool in March 2018.

Located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool, this well-equipped 30-bedded service will provide care for adults with acute physical and mental disabilities. We offer long term, rehabilitative, respite, or end-of-life care for complex needs arising from: Enduring mental ill health, Neuro-disability, Acquired Brain Injury / Stroke Autism and profound learning disability, Early onset Dementia.

We are seeking to appoint a Home Manager to commence in August 2017. You will support us with the initial set-up and commissioning of the service. You will help us to appoint an extraordinary team of nursing staff, care staff and support staff that are passionate about delivering quality care and helping our service users to live fulfilled lives as independently as they are able.

You’re the manager, so that means that you’re responsible for providing exceptional leadership to your team and ensuring that the high standards expected within Exemplar Healthcare. Most of all, it’s about ensuring that the service users receive the highest possible care in a safe and supportive environment.

About the role……

As a Registered Home Manager with Exemplar, you are ultimately the business manager – so your remit will be to make the home a complete success. This means that you’ll be responsible for:

Identifying new business opportunities
Setting a culture based on leadership
Promoting staff engagement and involvement.
Managing budgets and ensuring that costs are controlled.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies
Working in partnership with key customers and managing relationships
Conducting pre-admission assessments and completing costings for prospective admissions
Creating and developing strong relationships – internal and external
Striving for excellence in the care we provide to our service users.
Dealing with recruitment, employee relations and other people related issues
Facilitating and co-ordinating staff training and development, conducting appraisals and supervisions
Rolling up your sleeves to deliver nursing care as necessary
About you……

As you can see, this is an all-encompassing role which means that you’ll need to have previous management experience, preferably in the private sector. You must have a first level nursing qualification with a current PIN. We expect that you’ll be up to date with current evidence based practice with a working knowledge of CQC Standards and Regulations.
