Our Client established for over 23 years are experienced in laser processing a wide range of materials such as titanium, aluminium, stainless steel, brass and mild steel. Our state of the art 5 Axis WaterJet enables us to cut plastics, wood and carbon fibre. To support this Our client is accredited to AS9100 and Nadcap and are approved suppliers to the Aerospace, Nuclear and Automotive industries.

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Quality Engineer to join our team.

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Salary dependent on experience.

Key duties of the Quality Engineer will include:

Hosting 3rd party audits
* Maintaining and Implementing quality management systems to ISO9001 and AS9100
* Hands on approach to inspect in-house components as directed for conformance to specification by reference to drawing, documentation and engineering, using full range of inspection instruments, CMM and gauges.
* Investigate non-conformances and perform 8D problem solving investigations and implementing solutions.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Be a member of the internal audit team and carry out audits to the scheduled plan.
* Inspect completed assemblies and finished parts prior to despatch, making final checks against documentation.
* Check the calibration of the company's measuring equipment, make adjustments and carry out minor repairs.
* Should be willing to learn and develop their knowledge with new Technology.
* Track components through the manufacturing process and confirm that manufacturing processes have been correctly signed off. Complete all necessary documentation on rejection/acceptance/rework.
* Take up any quality queries and issues with suppliers on non-conforming components or materials, through telephone, mail or visits.
* Carry out inspection on returned goods and provide written reports on faults found.
* Liaise with all engineering departments and supervision on quality decisions involving methods, drawing errors and process improvements
* Able to set and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
* Able to work proactively to improve productivity and efficiency.

The successful Quality Engineer will ideally have the following experience:
* Educated to HNC / HND level in Engineering discipline
* Previous experience in a Quality Inspection / Quality Engineering role
* Previous experience of aerospace and automotive manufacturing
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience of FAIR & ISIR completion
* Good communication skills
* Good knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, TS16949 quality management systems.

The following would be advantageous but not essential:
* Knowledge of Rolls Royce Aero and NADCAP approvals
