Database & Circulation Manager £30-40k (depending on experience)

Our client is a fast moving and creative B2B media company serving the global automotive industry. Their websites, publications and live events are brand leaders.

At the heart of their business is a database of circa 100,000 which is vital to their success and used extensively to promote their activities around the globe.

About the role:

Full-time and based at our London office, in Stamford Brook, West London (nr Hammersmith), it is a key position and critical to the day-to-day running of the business.

As Database & Circulation Manager, you will:
• be responsible for the full management of our data and databases and line management of a Database Executive;

• work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications to develop and deliver the data strategy for the business, which takes on a renewed importance with the forthcoming GDPR;

• be responsible for the day-to-day management of the third party provider which hosts their data.

About you:
To be eligible, you will:
• need to be passionate about data and constantly strive to find ways to build, use and enhance the data which supports the commercial success of all our activities

• have a proven track record in building, managing and using data within a publishing, events or marketing organisation, ideally B2B

• be an enthusiastic and hard working team player with an inquisitive mind, a ‘can do’ mentality and a good sense of humour.
Key responsibilities:
• Full management of their data and databases
• Full management of print magazine circulations and the BPA-audit process
• Management of the mailing house to ensure the publications are delivered on time
• Develop and manage all of the data processes related to cleaning and enhancing data
• Work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications to develop and deliver data strategy
• Work closely with the company’s senior managers to identify data needs
• Regular reporting on data – gap analysis and current status
• Manage external provider to ensure the timely updating, cleaning and enhancing of the data
• Ensure the prompt response to queries from readers, users and attendees.

Essential experience / skills:
• Familiarity with international data
• Line management
• Database building
• Ability to work on data and databases with absolute care and accuracy
• High level of competency with Microsoft Excel and SQL
• Highly organised and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• BPA or/and ABC audit for print and online
