Salary £17,000 to £20,000 dependant on experience

Adecco are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our Gloucester based client in their search for a Buying Assistant to join their close-knit team and provide vital merchandising support for the Buyers. Our client operate within retail/distribution solutions and represent exclusive UK brands to high-street retailers.

You will be the vital backbone to the organisation by supporting internal teams through merchandising and data administration. You'll be ensuring records and communication are accurate and regular both internally and externally with suppliers. As you begin to prosper within the role you'll be given your own category of products to manage, becoming accountable for associated KPIs.

Tasks to include;
- Raising supplier orders and preparing invoices for sign off.
- Assisting in maintenance of any processes which ensure all product info, prices and delivery dates are kept up to date.
- Preparing, production and posting of product labels for customers and suppliers ahead of strict deadlines.
- Contributing to the management and organisation of samples to include recording, labelling, gold seals and showroom displays.
- Preparation and completion of product data forms for all new products, initial sending to suppliers and ensuring all data is in place before goods arrive.
- Assisting with trade shows to include preparation, set-up, show attendance and dismantling.
- Reporting of sales, stocks and profitability of sundries on a monthly basis to include feedback, suggestions and proposals for the category.

We are looking for a self-confessed analytical individual with excellent attention to detail and a flair for spotting errors. You could be a graduate (or equivalent) or have worked in an admin role requiring excellent proof reading/attention to detail skills, ideally analytical as well. You must have advanced excel skills to include Pivot Tables and V Lookups.

The ideal candidate would be an individual who has had exposure to retail merchandising through work experience (even if voluntarily). We encourage applicants from all backgrounds, however, to apply!
