Direct Appointments is working with a manufacturing/energy employer in Swindon. They require a Bid / Tender / Grant Funding Proposal manager to join them permanently to assist in their rapid expansion program across England and Wales.

As a Bid, grant and Tender Manager you should ideally possess bring a minimum of 2 years’ experience working on the production and project management of bid documents and delivery of proposals and therefore you will be expected to coordinate, draft, review document material.

You will play a pivotal role in assisting the bid strategies and propositions, be involved in project managing the bid process, and to assist in research.

As a Bid / Tender / Grant Funding Proposal Manager additional responsibilities will include:

• You will be involved in the coordination and completion of PQQ, bids, and tender, grant applications and related responses, contributing towards improvements in the quality of submissions and ultimately the win rate of the company
• Coordination with team members across all company departments to help formulate responses, which will include effective communication with all team members involved in the bid and interaction with the team to offer suggestions, innovation and ways to continuously improve.
• Professionally tailoring the grant funding applications / tender responses to the precise requirements of each funding body.
• Liaising with the Senior Leadership Team on key bid decisions and working across multiple projects you will have daily interaction with a wide pool of people which will include Sales, Account Managers, Delivery Teams and Management.
• Demonstrating good commercial thinking to understand the potential business needs and business issues, developing compelling propositions, proposes solutions to issues, making recommendations as appropriate;

As a Bid / Tender / Grant Funding Proposal manager you ideally should possess;
• A high attention to detail with excellent editing and proofing ability
• Strong English / literature / grammar skills, with an extensive vocabulary
• Highly PC literate (essential) including an advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
• Ability to understand new technologies and terminology quickly
• Strong organisational skills with clear ability to multitask and prioritise workload
• Use extensive market intelligence / desk based research
• Ensuring that at all times the content and details included in submissions are to a high quality and maintains the high standards and reputation of the business
