Project Engineer (Electrically Biased)

Due to ongoing growth and investment my client, a successful food manufacture and Distribution Company is seeking an electrically biased project engineer to join their busy engineering team.

You will be responsible for the design, installation and commissioning of process equipment on site.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support the maintenance departments with technical knowledge and experience to improve efficiencies. Looking at the continuous improvement of machinery change over times, resulting in machinery ‘up time’

As required you will be the main point of contact for technical advice and resolution of all day to day engineering issues.

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities

Fault find electrical equipment and machinery
Installation of machinery and project work
Adhere to health and safety and food safety procedures
Support all departments internal and external to ensure all people have the correct information and timescales to carry out project work
Continuous improvement projects
Planning and coordination
Point of contact for contractors on site

Skills and Experience

-Experience working as a multi skilled engineer in a fast paced FMCG manufacturing/ production environment
-Food manufacturing experience is desirable
-Project management experience, commission and set up of production and packaging machinery
-Understanding of lean techniques
-Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and drawings
-17th edition or equivalent electrical qualifications
-Computer literate and ability to use Auto-Cadis advantageous
-Electrical engineering bias
-Provide handover and PPM plans for new and old installations

On offer is a competitive salary plus benefits package.
You will be working Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.
Some flexibility is required to cover weekend projects- overtime will be paid.
