Are you a Maintenance Engineer with experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment?

Are you apprentice trained or have an electrical qualification like 17th edition or equivalent?

If yes to the above, this could be a great job for you!

Our client are an Automotive component manufacturer based in Witham and are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their foundry team.

To provide in-house services to production departments, offices and buildings,
Carry out some installation work,
Routine maintenance repairs,
Support production supervision to meet production demands by working on equipment as required,
Diagnose malfunction apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables,
Recovery of production machinery and completion of maintenance requests on completion,
Tests malfunctioning machinery and discuss problems with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance supervisor and toolmaker, to diagnose malfunction,
Diagnose and replace faulty electrical or electronic components such as relays, switches and motors,
Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machinery and equipment,
Requisition tools, equipment, new and replacement parts in,
Entering electrical panels to reset trip etc,
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work team,
Analyse and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems,
Inspect and test machinery and equipment,
Install, program or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers,
Involved in Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM),
Fault finding on production machines; Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine,
Dismantle defective machines to gain access to equipment and install new or repaired parts,
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery,
Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment,
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment,
Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools,
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts,
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble,
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments,
Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices,
Lubricate and cleans parts,
Start devices to test their performance,
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines,
Repairs electrical equipment.

Please note, this to work in a foundry environment so will be hot all year round. The company are in the growing automotive sector so it's a great time to get on board!

Salary - £30,500
Hours - Tuesday to Thursday 6am to 6:15pm and every other Friday 6am to 1:30pm. Equating to 38.75 hours a week.
