An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join a team supporting our client living in Streatham, London. In return, we offer competitive pay rates (£15 per weekdays and £17 per hour weekends) plus full induction and ongoing training.

The Physiotherapy Assistant will carry out a prescribed rehabilitation programme to include physical movement and massage therapy for our client.

The role will involve:
Providing a high standard of care as part of the Support team, carrying out treatment to my client who has reduced mobility following a Road Traffic Accident
Helping to facilitate maximum function and helping to promote positive energy to our client to encourage him to continue with his rehabilitation routine to reduce the deterioration muscle and increase flexibility
Assess the clients responses and use the findings to report to the Physiotherapist in charge so as any modifications can be made to his rehabilitation programmes
Continually monitor client response to rehabilitation programmes, evaluating outcomes and adapting input as appropriate- as per sphere of competence and guide given by Physiotherapist / OT Treating Consultants
Liaising when necessary with therapy staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team, for support and supervision
To be responsible for maintaining accurate, comprehensive client records in line with local policy
To maintain your personal records of personal training and education. Then forward to the admin office
Managing the stores and some light cleaning/changing bed linen

Experience of working in a care / rehab environment of this nature previously is essential but bespoke comprehensive training followed by assessment of competence and confidence will be provided and will be tailored specifically for our client. There is also a need for someone to take a Team leader stance whilst present and carrying out any simple administrative duties in line with supporting the client.

The successful Physiotherapy Assistant will:
Be a good team player who enjoys working both autonomously and within a team
Be flexible and able to multi-task
Be willing to undergo a DBS Check
Have a good level of computer literacy and spoken and written English skills

The hours of work will vary depending on how many sessions the client requires.
