Job Description – After Sales Executive

 

Key Purpose of Role

 

To meet and exceed customer expectations and maximise workshop profitability.

 

Accountabilities

 

- Responsible for dealing on a day to day basis with customers subject to the guidelines established by the Retail Service Process*.
- To liaise effectively with the Customer Support Unit and Parts Department.
- To receive customers and their vehicles in a friendly and professional manner in line with the Retail Service Process*. To discuss and confirm their requirements and take responsibility for the vehicle during its time at the Retailer.
- To hand over and receive back any loan vehicle according to the published procedure.
- To ensure that repair orders are raised and processed according to the established guidelines and that work is completed to schedule.
- To ensure that requested work is completed on time and to the expected standards.
- To ensure personally that all customers vehicles are washed and vacuumed to a high standard.
- To ensure that invoicing is accurate and completed on time.
- To ensure that job extensions are properly authorised and processed in line with Company Policy and the Retail Service Process*.
- To keep customers fully and regularly informed of changes to costs and expected completion times/dates in line with Company Policy and the Retail Service Process*.  
- To ensure that vehicles are properly handed over in person and in line with the Retail Service Process* to customers, including full invoice explanation and advising of future requirements.
- To provide a fully detailed and costed Vehicle Health Check document to every customer.
- To take responsibility for sub contracted repairs and ensure the quality of such.
- To ensure that the authorisation of warranty and goodwill is given strictly in accordance with the manufacturers policy & procedure.
- To maintain high standards of housekeeping within the After-sales environment.
- To demonstrate a duty of care to themselves and colleagues alike and to adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.

 

Skills and Experience

- Practical experience in an After Sales/Sales environment.

- Has the ability to follow a structured Sales Process.

- Able to overcome objections and sell the benefits of our products and services.

- General understanding of basic mechanical systems.

- Ability to estimate accurately times for diagnosis and repair.

- Ability to determine condition of safety related parts i.e. tyres, brake pads, and wiper blades – in line with the Retail Service Process*. 

- Fully Computer Literate in current business applications.

- Demonstrably numerate and literate.

- Should possess outstanding customer relations skill in order to adapt to customers individual requirements whilst safeguarding the Company`s Interest.

- Must possess a ‘Can Do` attitude and be able to fully identify with the Company`s Core Values*.

- Ability to handle pressure without it affecting working relationships and effectiveness.
- Should possess excellent listening skills.

- Should possess strong self-organisational skills.

- Ability to verbally communicate clearly and succinctly both face to face and via telephone.

- Ability to convey information accurately between source and third party.

- Demonstrate a clear understanding of commercial targets and the performance levels required in order to achieve them.

- To possess a genuine passion for the delivery of first class customer service.

- Ability to work positively with manufacturer`s representatives
