My client is a leading Housing Association Group in the Midlands area, who are looking for an experienced construction Contracts Manager for their new build development arm on a fixed-term contract.

Operational

* Be responsible for the organisation and delivery of excellent quality works including new build construction and major refurbishment projects.

* Take full ownership and responsibility for health and safety management on all sites.

* Monitor performance of in-house trade team, and contractors against targets; identify shortfalls and remedial action for improvements.

* Manage, develop and assist the Site Managers, Supervisors and site teams to safely deliver high quality projects on time and to budget.

* Work with the rest of the team to produce and deliver demanding but realistic site programmes. Provide regular monitoring information on the progress of projects.

* Drive forward the performance and achievement of the business plan and core objectives.

* Ensure excellent customer satisfaction is maintained throughout the service provision and participate in resident liaison and consultation at all key stages of a project.

* Work with the team to identify and discharge planning conditions.

* Provide information as required under CDM Regulations to the Principal Designer. Work with the site teams to ensure CDM Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans and Health and Safety Files are written and approved by the Principal Designer for every site.

* Provide regular monitoring information on the progress of projects.

* Lead the review of all sites and implement improvements in the construction process.

* Review existing Health and Safety procedures and risk assessments and improve as necessary.

* At all times maintain a professional image both with internal and external customers.

* Provide technical advice as necessary to support the successful management of the projects

* Develop good communication channels to enhance relationships with internal / external clients and customers.

* Ensure resident's welfare is considered throughout the programme of works and liaise with Housing Officers and support agencies as necessary.

* Manage materials to reduce waste on site
