We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced ASP.NET developer to join our small team based at our Doncaster office.

As Software Engineer you will be responsible for the development and ongoing support of a range of applications including Intranet, Web and Web Services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background with ASP.NET with VB, Visual Studio, HTML, Source Control, MS SQL, Javascript, CSS and XML.

C#, Angular JS, Entity Frameworks, MVC, GIT, Jira, HTML5, Ajax and Android experience would be an advantage.

The role will be based in our Doncaster office, with occasional travel to other locations.


* To develop systems as required to timescales to which you are committed.
* To maintain all internally-developed systems as required


* Responsible for development of the Unipart Rail Intranet and the associated web applications.
* Responsible for personal development using the Unipart Way.
* Responsible for maintaining good communication and relationships with all internal customers to ensure visibility of project work status and also of disruptions to the existing applications.
* Responsible for maintaining strict confidentiality.
* Web and System Development -ASP.NET, VB/C#, MS SQL, JS, XML on Web Sites, Web Services and Desktop Applications


* Educated to at least GCSE Level standard.
* 3+ years of Development experience.
* 2+ years' experience of Microsoft SQL server.
* 2+ years' experience of ASP, ASP.NET
* Customer focused.
* Working to deadlines / under pressure.
* Time management.


* A-Level / OND / HND / Degree in Computer Studies or related subject.
* Knowledge / appreciation of SAP and BAPI use
* Knowledge of XML and XSLT
* Project management experience.
* Good business and commercial awareness.
* Self- motivated
