Head Chef – £30- £35k plus up to £4k bonus - York

Our client, a busy food led gastropub is looking for a motivated and ambitious Head Chef to join their hardworking. The pub`s focus is serving quality meals made from scratch using fresh local produce. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and will benefit from being able to get involved with the pubs outside catering business. This role will see you working 5 days out of 7 on a split shift basis working 4 nights and 5 days.

Requirements for being a Head Chef

- Passionate about cooking and developing your career
- Entrepreneurial approach to cooking and developing the business
- Experience at Sous level or above, cooking fresh produce
- Has a great understanding of customer`s expectations

Responsibilities as a Head Chef

- Leading by example, cooking only to the highest standards
- Adhering to all health and safety and food hygiene polices and enforcing all due diligence
- Mentoring your team to develop them and bring out the best in their abilities
- Creative control with specials and ongoing menu development
