Cloud Security Architect-London-Financial Software
Cloud Security Architect with industry battle scars gained from hands on experience of translating security requirements into solutions Required.
Looking for someone with strong design strategies and architectural patterns, and integrating them into the broader architecture of existing clients and the solutions the business is delivering to. This experience will have been gained in complex business environments where security is mission critical from an operational and regulatory perspective. The successful candidate will have a brilliant understanding of and passion for Cloud technologies in addition to knowing how to shape solutions for clients in the financial services industry. Experience will include automation, control frameworks (e.g. IAM, security, audit and compliance), service decoupling, APIs, self-service provisioning and containerisation. Working as part of a multi-disciplined, client facing cloud-consulting team this role will be based in London with a requirement for international travel when required.

* A background in information security and security architecture including identity and access management, threat modelling, risk assessments, security monitoring and control governance
* At least 5+ years' experience of designing, building and supporting complex enterprise applications and application estates in complex delivery environments with a focus on security
* Experience of designing appropriate preventative and detective controls to support the benefits of cloud adoption
* Network security models and approaches such as Software Defined Networks, Network Virtualisation and Micro Segmentation
* Significant demonstrable expertise and experience of security architecture using AWS and Google (Google/AWS accreditation/certification is essential). Experience of Microsoft Azure, HP OpenStack, IBM Cloud would also be highly desirable
* Experience of security architecture when creating and delivering cloud application migration strategies to meet customer specific requirements
* Experience of security frameworks and standards such as IAM, CISSP, CSA, COBIT, ISO 17799, ISO 27001
* Experience of Security within the Application Development Lifecycle and the role of CI/CD in Security (e.g. DevSecOps)
* A demonstrable commitment to design, build and deployment excellence underpinned by a desire to drive continuous improvement and learning
* Substantial client facing, commercial and team management experience
* A track record of delivering large, complex cloud-based application migration or development projects (£1m - £5m budget)
* Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.
* Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results, including experience of working in mixed shore delivery models
* A technical innovator at heart who is driven by generating new ideas and insights with a natural curiosity for new and emerging technologies and trends
* Experience of the Financial Services industry is considered highly desirable but not essential
