HR Assistant

We are recruiting for a HR Assistant on behalf of our client based in Telford. As an HR Assistant you will be responsible for various duties around the office.

Duties and Responsibilities of an HR Assistant

* First point of contact for staff member questions
* Creating and distributing documents
* Serving as a point of contact with vendors
* Setting appointments and arranging meetings
* Compiling and preparing reports and spreadsheets, participating in recruitment processes, organising resumes, scheduling interviews and assisting in interview process
* Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation
* New starter inductions
* Maintaining current HR files and databases; preparing new employee files
* Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collated and maintained and supporting internal and external audits at required.
* Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exit interviews
* Processing payroll, tracking attendance in system.
* Answering payroll questions and facilitating resolutions to any payroll errors
* Support CSR Initiatives and actively engage with employees as required
* HR project work
* Supporting the HR function across the business
* Provide service cover for the manager in their absence
* Prepared to travel outside the UK if required

* Location: Telford
* £24k-28k per annum.
* Hours: Mon-Fri TBC
* Temporary to Permanent

Skill and Experience of an HR Assistant

* Team Player
* Maintain confidentiality at all times in regards to HR matters
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft office suite, database skills.)
* Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
* Maintain a professional demeanour at all times.

* Must be able to identify and successfully resolve issues in a timely manner
* Must possess strong interpersonal skills
* Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings
* Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information
* Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
* Must be able to work independently with limited direction from direct manager or customer group
* Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
* Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
