Technician Support Engineer - Hampshire/UK - Permanent - £30,000 to £35,000

An excellent opportunity for a Technician Support Engineer is now available with a global specialist of integrated systems to the maritime & energy sectors.

Based primarily in the field, the Technician Support Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning of control monitoring products.

Key Accountabilities Include:

* To successfully install, maintain, test and commission electrical control monitoring and protection systems for clients
* Provide Technical support to application and sales functions on installation requirements and standards
* Oversee service engineers/sub-contractors/ shipyard technicians on location; regarding product installations to ensure standards are obtained
* Carry out vessel surveys and detail work recommendations
* Prepare materials and Installation guidelines needed for project deliverables
* Carry out the commissioning of controls system and provide trouble shooting support
* Liaise with customer on site to generate enquiries and technical queries
* Ensure all work carried out is to ISO and Maritime Standards
* Ensure that all activities on-site are carried out in accordance with the site safety rules and in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety obligations
* There is a requirement for a flexible approach to domestic and overseas travel at short notice to support customers


* Qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering (Ideally Electronics/Electrical)
* Able to demonstrate experience with Logic Programming
* Experience with low voltage communication system integration and installation
* Considerable experience of control / information systems commissioning and troubleshooting installations
* Knowledge of digital control logic and application for condition based monitoring hardware.
* Experience of working cross functionally
* Experience of providing local and remote technical support
* Knowledge of shipyard practices and standards
* Project management skills
* Demonstrates a high level of communication skills (all levels)
* Training & Coaching Skills

A salary of £30K to £35K (DoE) is offered, along with 25 days holiday, Pension, Private Healthcare & Life assurance. You must have a valid driving licence and passport to enable UK and worldwide travel.
