Due to our brand new service in London we are looking for a Specialist Endocrine Children’s Homecare Nurse. Essentially, we are looking for a talented, patient focused clinician to join our fantastic team.As a Specialist Endocrine Children’s Homecare Nurse, you will support the NordiCare® programme on a regional level. Deliver NordiCare® support programmes to a high professional standard within primary and secondary care where specified, whilst maintaining professional standards in accordance with the NMC Code of Practice.
Deliver nurse education around injectable medications and develop best practice use of injectable medications including handling, administration and storage.
Provide ongoing patient support to ensure maximum therapeutic patient benefit through a combination of support programmes to include telephone, clinic-based and home visits.
Enhance patient wellbeing and treatment adherence to achieve optimum disease management and improve quality of life.
Network closely with Healthcare Professionals and be seen as an extension of hospital team and the role is a measurable and invaluable part of the Endocrine department.
Contribute to the growth and success of the company by assisting in the development of a high-quality homecare service, always representing and promoting NordiCare® and Healthcare at Home well.
Record and report accurate clinical information regarding patients and their medication via defined channels, including any Adverse Drug Events and Product Technical Complaints.
Build relationships and demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, patient support networks and stakeholders.
Maintain a high standard of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to comply with regulations and evidence up to date knowledge and professional competence by attending appropriate conferences, tutorials, courses and study/induction days. Also, staying compliant with all business policies and procedures.
What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?In essence we are looking for clinicians who are dedicated to offering outstanding professional patient care, it’s at the heart of what you do.You will be a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse with Endocrine experience and you will maintain a high knowledge base, in line with the Endocrine disease area. We would like you to have experience in clinical teaching and possess strong clinical, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
