My client are a market leader within the financial compliance and payment solutions markets, providing solutions to a global, mainly Tier 1 banking clientele, including over 90% of the world’s top leading financial institutions.

Role Description:

As a member in a new and high energy team, the Pre-Sales Consultant (“PSC”) will support the Sales team and sales operations to drive sales opportunities and assist in meeting sales targets.

The PSC will act as a subject matter expert on company products and projects and will serve to train, assist and support the Sales team. The PSC will assist Sales in qualifying a customer, gathering customer requirements, designing a solution for the customer and factually and accurately presenting, demonstrating and answering all questions related to the products to the satisfaction of the customer.

The PSC will then ensure proper handover to the Professional Services team to prepare them for the client engagement and implementation by sharing knowledge gained about the customer environment, systems and risk profile. The PSC will also carry lessons learned from the industry and present these to the relevant product teams to supply input for the strategic direction of the product lines.

Travel: Ability to travel minimum of 50% in the EMEA Region

Key Responsibilities:

Be a technical product expert
Assist sales calls remotely or face to face in qualifying opportunities and delivering product demonstrations and presentations
Support the Sales team in achieving their targets
Support the prospect and the Sales team throughout the sales process
Assist in managing Request For Proposals (RFPs), Request For Information (RFIs) and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
Keep up to date on product and industry knowledge
Report to the Global Director of Pre-Sales and contribute to the efficiency of the team
Collaborate as needed to deliver training to the Sales team in understanding the product suite
Coordinate hand over of information between the Sales teams and Professional Services for the creation Statements of Work


Fluent in English
5 years’+ experience working within a software/data business
Knowledge of risk interdiction, anti-money laundering solutions, and compliance workflow solutions
Consulting experience to the financial services industry (Banking /Insurance /Securities)
Client engagements that include software or hardware configuration and integration
Proven experience interacting with and managing clients
Previous pre-sales and/or sales experience would be a distinct advantage
Experience with proposal/agreement development and solution design
Experience with RFPs/RFIs
Relevant industry certification in Project management and/or AML a plus


Excellent communication and presentation skills, both spoken and written
Additional languages (especially French) a bonus
Ability to engage prospective clients on a functional and technical level
Ability to manage projects across multiple departments, geographies and management levels
Highly motivated, self-starter, able to thrive in fast moving, high energy environments
Client-focus, team player, highly organized and highly motivated
