Our client, a highly ranked top 100 law firm based in the centre of Cardiff, is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Quality Manager to join their Quality & Risk Department. Candidates may also have the opportunity to work flexible hours, if they so wish.

Duties will include:-
• To help maintain the quality management system to internal and
external requirements and standards (including ISO9001, Lexcel, SRA
Handbook)
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality documents to
support the quality management system
• Maintain quality records
• Ensure quality and risk practices and objectives are adhered to
• Assist with the day to day operation of the quality and risk department.
• Work closely with key personnel to ensure quality procedures are
effective and carried out correctly and in line with quality control
• Assist managers and staff alike with quality and risk issues
• Update the entire firm on new and revised procedures
• Assist in monitoring and reviewing the firm’s practices/compliance
through analysis of audits and compliance data
• Provide any data as required by the Quality and Risk Manager
• Contribute to the firm’s annual external quality audit and contribute to
any other external audits and reviews as required
• Assist with the preparation of tenders and client due diligence
questionnaires in relation to quality and risk.
• Attend client meetings where necessary to deal with issues in relation
to the firm’s policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated 1+ year’s knowledge/experience in this line of work. Strong organisation, IT and time management skills are required along with the ability to deliver high quality work, often during pressurised times.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as the ability to build strong relationships with key personnel across the board.

The ideal candidate will have working experience of ISO 9001 and Lexcel and potentially hold an internal auditing/quality qualification. An understanding of the legal environment will be a distinct advantage
