Project Manager (118jc) – London - circa £45k + Benefits

My client is one of the globes leading integrator of payment and information solutions and related services for intelligent travel applications, and they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic Project Manager for their expanding team.

They challenge themselves to remain at the forefront of their industry and continually develop new tools to keep up with ever-changing technologies and the growing demand for simpler travel solutions.

Job Summary
The purpose of the role is to ensure our customer receives the best possible service around capital works and chargeable activities, aligned with transportation services across London.

The Capital Works Manager is responsible for leading the teams allocated to the delivery of chargeable activities, for the customer relationship and reporting systems, for ensuring the management team of ITMS and my client are fully appraised of any risks, issues, opportunities and events which may have an impact to the delivery of our obligations, for maximising the opportunities for growth, for ensuring the business delivers its obligations in accordance to relevant legislation, our quality and other ISO registrations and to the highest standards of health and safety.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Effectively manage the teams performing activities related to chargeable works across London including PDP’s, 121’s, absence management, reward and recognition
• Maintain a high level of customer service at least equal to our obligations
• Ensure customer satisfaction feedback is regularly sought, actions taken and any identified improvements are delivered
• To ensure all reporting and KPI requirements are met or exceeded
• To improve the efficiency, revenue and margin of the capital and chargeable works teams
• To escalate any business risk to ITMS management, and maintain an effective risk register
• To maintain a safe working environment for all personnel engaged in the delivery of these services and to the general public wherever our activities interact with them
• To maintain and improve our performance in relation to: -
1) Finance - financial forecasting, financial reporting, wider business efficiencies
2) Risk management – risk identification & mitigation, risk reporting, incident recording and investigation and future improvements
3) Reporting systems, KPI’s, CPI’s, dashboard creation/maintenance and the BMS
4) Customer service – reporting, satisfaction surveys, competitor performance comparison, service level achievement across all categories of works
5) Business growth – opportunity identification, wider business integration
• Leadership by example
• To maintain various quality and ISO registrations, and to operate within the processes defined within these standards
• To improve processes and ensure that any variations are properly documented and benefits achieved
• To ensure all staff are competent, safe and qualified to perform their duties and that they do so in a safe, controlled and efficient manner

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:-
Qualifications/skills
• Experience of managing ITS related activities including exposure to NEC3, civil infrastructure, road-space booking & CDM, HASAW and various highways related competencies such as sector schemes
• Proven experience of engineering, management of Contractors, management of contracts and management of multi-project programs.
• Excellent Client facing skills
• Possess a full clean driving licence
• Previous experience of managing projects involving Traffic Signal installations and Highways Agency NMCS2 infrastructure is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Microsoft Project proficient
• Microsoft Office skills to a very high degree of proficiency
• Managing activities within a quality management system

The ideal candidate would be someone from an engineering or construction background who will probably be an SNCO/WO or LE who has a track record in leading from the front, but also has the ability to sit behind a desk and deal with paperwork on a regular basis. Project Management qualifications, such as Prince2 or APMS would be an advantage.
