Position: Stores Person/Inventory Controller

Reports to: Site Coordinator

Based at: Sheffield

A market leader in the provision of Integrated Stores and Supply Chain Management Solutions for Blue Chip Companies in the UK and Europe, Active IESA are seeking an experienced Stores Person to work on a very exciting opportunity with our prestigious client based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The store will be brand new built to a high specification!

Job purpose:

To run the day to day stores operation and the procurement of replacement parts within the client Critical Spares Store, to deliver a high level of customer service by working in support of the maintenance team at the site.

Key responsibilities and accountability:

* Warehouse/stores - Run the day to day stores operation to ensure correct stock levels are maintained. Duties Including but not limited, to receipt of goods, booking in/out and stock put away, Parts kitting, stock checks, dispatching of goods to correct locations/suppliers.

* Sourcing & Purchasing - Sourcing and supply of ad hoc electro/mechanical parts for stock replenishment, using the Active 'preferred suppliers' as indicated by the purchasing department. Ensure parts fall within scope of supply and meet technical specifications, and are delivered in a timely manner.

* House Keeping - Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment that reflects our professional image. Ensuring that stock records accurately reflect the stock on the shelf and adjustments are made in line with the ISO standards.

* Staff Supervision (if applicable) - Supervise staffs, ensuring that all goals and objectives are being met as set by the line manager and provide feedback to the line manager on any HR issues that may arise.

* Systems operations - Follow all the required internal/Customers systems, ensuring that processes are followed in accordance with the scope of supply and the ISO procedures or as indicated by the company.

* Interpersonal Skills - Communicating with, customers and colleagues in a way that achieves results whilst maintaining professional relationships.

* Customer Service - Delivering continuous improvement in service to achieve customer satisfaction through the delivery of outstanding customer care. Keeping customers informed at all times with regard to our service offering. Look for added value opportunities and escalate these to your line manager

* Reports and logs - Ensure that all reports are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with the business/operational needs.

* Flexibility - Be adaptable to the changing demands of the Active Industrial Services Group businesses and operational needs in delivering the companies contractual obligations to the client across all disciplines/ locations. When necessary, help, and support other operations/location within the Group.

* Training & Development - Be available to attend meetings, Product Training, as requested where reasonable notice has been provided.

* Health and Safety - Understand the importance of Health and safety within the workplace and escalate any H&S issues to the Health & Safety Manager at Head Office.

Experience Required

Stock Management - Essential

MRO Spares Knowledge - Desirable

Microsoft Office (Particularly Excel & Outlook) - Essential

Administration Management - Essential

Purchasing & Sourcing Experience - Desirable
