Successful applicants for this Trainee Primary Teacher role will begin the programme in a support based role working alongside a class teacher to learn the basic requirements of effective classroom practice and in turn find their own unique teaching style.

As you progress, you will start to take on small group teaching and lead intervention sessions before learning to prepare and plan your own lessons in preparation to begin teaching a reduced timetable towards the end of the first year.

In the second year, you will take your own class and receive extensive support and mentoring from a school leader assigned to you; they will observe your practice and ensure that you are working towards the teaching and learning standards. You will also start work on the academic side of your PGCE for which you will receive support from the Premier Pathways team.

On completion of your training you will be a fully competent and capable Primary Teacher, ready to successfully take on your NQT year and begin a long and fruitful career as a Primary Teacher!
