An outstanding Primary School in South West London is looking for a full time (35 hours) General Teaching Assistant for a September 2017 start. The successful candidate will work on Long Term Supply for a Term and then, if all goes well, a contract will be secured from January 17'. The Long Term pay rate is £70 to £80 per day. The contracted salary will be in accordance with the Teaching Assistant pay structure.

The Teaching Assistant role will be to work in a Year 3 class. It will involve mainly working with Literacy and Numeracy but also with some SEM students on a one to one basis. It is a well behaved class with a higher percentage of boys than girls in the full 30 children. 85% will be above expected NC Levels for English and Maths in this year's SATS. The teacher has 3 year's experience and is The Literacy Coordinator in this London Primary school

The Head is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant. Someone with at least's one year's experience as a full time, paid Teaching Assistant in a London or Inner City Primary School. Preferably you will be an NVQ/Cache level 3 qualified TA with good spoken English and very competent with Maths and English. Someone who has experience working with EAL children would also be an advantage. The Head will also be interested in overseas teachers looking for Teaching Assistant experience before becoming a teacher in the UK.
