Business Development Manager - Air Freight/Sea Freight - £45K
Business Development Manager required for leading Logistics & Freight Forwarder.
Business Development Manager MUST have a proven track record in Air Freight & Sea Freight Sales for a Freight Forwarder.
This Freight Forwarding brand will also consider talented and driven Freight Forwarding professionals with a desire for a career in sales.
This external sales role will cover the South West region
Position can be based from Bristol or Heathrow
Salary £30K - £40K, Commission
24 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
The Role :
Primary Targets: Gross margin
Responsible for identification, acquisition, development & retention of a customer base within the Air & Sea freight modes
You will report to the National Sales Manager and will be required to generate weekly and
monthly progress reports and others when required.
Involved with market campaigns and the related literature
Strong, confident personality with some experience of sales is required.
Able to understand/explain products and services and take and resolve queries
Time management skills are essential as are communication skills (face-to-face
and over the phone).
Personal sales activity planning, key account planning, generation of leads for both
the Telesales Team and self-generation of appointments.
The ability to prioritise and to work under pressure of workload and within a
Commercially aware (focus on gross profit growth and cost control)

Air Freight experience
