FM Conway are a major multi-disciplined Civil Engineering contractor. A key Business Area for us is heavy Civils including Highways, Rail and structures and we have recently been awarded a new flagship project with one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious developers.

We are actively reruiting a Lead Project manager to head upa project based on a lump sum contract, valued at over £20 million, The works will involve a mixture of Major Civils schemes including - Groundworks, Road Construction, Bridges, Drainage and RC structures etc.


This is a key role for our client and the project is currently at enabling works / procurement stage and will be approximately 18-months in length. We are seeking an experienced Senior PM who has been involved in managing projects in excess of £10 million. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of running a team and you will be responsible for managing a team of Contracts Managers, Planners and supervisors.


Interested candidates should possess strong commercial Acumen - you will be involved in monthly reporting, managing programs and cost management including:

  • Being Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, and control of highways and pavement construction projects, roads, maintenance and service installation schemes, in accordance with business cases, policies, procedures, gate reviews, and project assurances.
  • To support various teams for the delivery of multiple projects within the road and utility networks, including design and supervision of contractors and development of relationships with stakeholders, designers, service suppliers, and local authorities to achieve performance targets of project scope, cost, time and quality, and to apply the project management framework.

    • Apply project management framework, monitor PCF performance and progress, and review baseline schedules against programmed costs
    • Develop risk register, commercial dashboard, manage issues, changes, EVA forecasts, health, safety and hazard logs;
