We are recruiting a skilled vehicle mechanic / technician to become part of our established team.

The ideal candidate;

Will be confident & able to work on a broad range of vehicle makes & models, obtaining where necessary the relevant information / tools to complete jobs to our high standards independantly & efficiently with a 'can-do' approach to any task they are set.

Will come equipped with their own full set of hand tools

Hold a full, clean UK driving license

Be computer literate & able to use workshop information systems competently & independantly (Autodata, Alldata etc.)

Will have a flexible approach to tasks & be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.

The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities;

To adhere to the Company’s Policy & procedures

To carry out routine servicing & maintenance, MOT fail work, general repairs, wheel alignment, tyre fitting / wheel balancing & air conditioning system recharging / servicing.

Perform repair work within the specified timescale & in accordance with established and documented procedures

Willing to undertake any traning or tests that the company deems necessary

To ensure all job cards & timesheets are completed to company standards & handed to the Service team as & when required

To advise the Service Team of any additional work necessary on a vehicle during service

To advise the service team at the earliest point of any complications during a repair that may incurr additional parts or labour charges.

To liase with customers where necessary to fully identify customers concerns / symptoms

To ensure parts for Warranty Claims are retained and are cleaned / drained of fluids (where necessary)

To liaise & seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are beyond the work specified

To assist colleagues in their work roles and share best practice with the team if required

To maintain the cleanliness of the workshop and its equipment on an ongoing basis

To wear the uniform & saftey equipement provided by the Company; to maintain it, and a smart personal appearance.

To take care when working on customers vehicles to avoid damage.

Driving duties; including colelction/ drop off of customer vehicle, local parts collctions (if necessary)

To be available for work at the times specified by the Company

To be puctual, reliable & honest.

To work 44 hours per week this includes an alternate Saturday 9am to 1pm

To work overtime as required if reasonable notice is given.
