MarketReach are recruiting now for a Strategic Planner. You’ll join the amazing team driving growth in the UK’s 3rd largest advertising medium - Direct Mail. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence the UK’s top advertisers and agencies, driving growth and success in their businesses and developing the case for Direct Mail in key sectors.
About the role:
In this exciting new role, you’ll promote the value of mail as a key media choice to clients, with the ultimate goal of supporting advertising mail revenue across all sectors and influencers. Working collaboratively with our Media Specialists, you’ll identify current and upcoming opportunities in a constantly evolving environment; taking briefs and researching and creating persuasive and engaging presentations promoting mail and how it can add value to our clients’ media mix.
With an increasing focus on improving our business strategy for Direct Mail, you’ll use a full range of industry and bespoke resources and tools to substantiate presentations, insight projects, and thought leadership content to prove the value of mail. You’ll actively engage with senior management and stakeholders, and have the knowledge and experience to engage and present to them at a high level. You’ll also work closely in partnership with a range of Royal Mail teams who bring related expertise to your role including Insight, Marketing, Business Development and Products.
As a knowledgeable strategic planning professional, you’ll have the ability to hit the ground running. Utilising your exceptional verbal and written communication skills, you’ll be experienced in producing and presenting clear and compelling presentations. Numerically astute and experienced in the use of marketing insight and research tools, you’ll have a strong understanding of how to effectively use and interpret data to create insight and identify sales opportunities.
Practiced in stakeholder management, you’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and know how to adapt communications for different audiences. Commercially minded, with a background in communications, media or strategic planning, you’ll have proven knowledge of, and experience with, Direct Mail and / or Door to Door marketing.
Your experience may be within an advertising, media or direct marketing creative agency, integrated marketing, or a business and strategic consultancy. Due to our broad range of clients, familiarity with a variety of industries is a distinct advantage.
