My client are a heavily funded and extremely exciting/disruptive tech start up, leading the way in a multi-£Billion market.

The role;

* Analyse the current product delivery llfe-cycle
* Lead and mentor the junior QA tester.
* Work closely with the technical team and product owner to define and understand the commercial and technical product requirements.
* Document user stories and results for both manual and automated testing
* Implementing a full testing process including full user stories, bug prioritisation, automated error reporting
* Recommend and implement an optimal testing process for both manual and automated testing.Identify and implement the required tools and best practise.

About you

* Passion for software that makes users happy
* You have at least one year work experience in a software quality-related role

* You have experience testing single-page web applications
* You have built automated tests
* Know SQL and can use it to spot problems in large data-sets
* You know Linux and command line tools or are curious to learn more about it
* You are self-managed and enjoy working independently and directly with developers and other stakeholders
* You are open minded, take pride in your work and - above all - you value result-driven team work

Ideal Experience

* Experience of testing in an agile modern engineering environment, where techniques such as unit testing and continuous integration are well understood and practiced.
* Experience in producing test strategies and test plans, and visual reporting.
* Experience in defining and documenting test cases and test scripts, ideally using a test management tool.
* Good knowledge of the software development and testing lifecycle.
* Good knowledge of the different techniques for functional and non-functional software testing
* A broad appreciation of technology including a high level understanding of databases, application servers, web services, web applications, APIs
* Knowledge of programming skills and concepts, and the application of these to white box testing.
* Experience of test automation, such as Gherkin, Cucumber and Selenium.
* Continuous integration experience desirable
