Our client is an Accountancy Practice in Liverpool city centre. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

It is essential that applicants for this role have previous experience in an Accountancy Practice. Candidates without a background in an Accountancy Practice will not be considered.

The Accounts Assistant will take responsibility for:

-Processing invoicing on both sales and purchase ledgers
-Payroll and expenses management
-Communication with clients via phone and letter
-Book keeping
-Ad hoc finance projects

The Accounts Assistant will meet the following skillset:

-AAT (studying or gained qualification) or equivalent
-Working knowledge of Sage
-Proficient in Excel
-Previous experience of using the Xero accounting system or a similar online accountancy system
-Team player
-1-2 years' experience in an Accountancy Practice/firm of Chartered Accountants

The role will be most suited to an autonomous self-starter who can set their own deadlines and manage their workload with minimal supervision.
