Outreach, Assessment & Reconnection Worker

Brighton Street Outreach Service

£24,174 - £27,668 per annum

37.5 hours pw

Our client's Brighton Street Outreach service is looking to recruit an outreach worker to join the team on a permanent basis. In this role the post holder will take a lead in the dissemination of the assertive outreach message to clients, partners and the public, starting from the premise that 'sleeping rough is dangerous and harmful to the individual and the community'. You will assertively make contact with all rough sleepers and the wider street population in Brighton and Hove, assess their needs thoroughly so they can be supported and / or rapidly reconnected out of rough sleeping. You will provide clients with personalised case management support to help them be reconnected, turning assessments into a practical action plan which fully involves the client.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an outreach capacity and will be committed to our recovery ethos. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who has experience working with either rough sleepers, hard to reach groups and/or those with multiple and complex needs. You will also have an ability to both lone and team work and to initiate and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, the community, the police and other external agencies.

In return, they offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and flexible working to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. They are also committed to providing their staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.
