Sales Support/Inside Sales Executive

Our Client are a leading IT Managed Service Provider who deliver Critical Network Services and Enterprise Cloud Solutions to public and private sector organisations throughout the UK.

We are seeking a Sales Support/Inside Sales Executive to play a key part in the organisations sales process.

As office-based support, this individual will be responsible for handling communication between colleagues, customers and suppliers on behalf of the Sales Director and Sales Team.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Sales Support/Inside Sales Executive will be responsible for a broad variety of administrative sales team support tasks which primarily involve:

  • Generating price quotations,Gathering pricing and stock availability from suppliers,
  • Processing sales orders,
  • Handling customer communication and enquirers,
  • Renewing selected monthly recurring revenue maintenance and support contracts (with an aim to uplift profitability),
  • Making and booking travel arrangements for the team
  • Generating end of day booked and invoiced reports for distribution.

In addition to these duties, the Sales Support/Inside Sales Executive will also manage and be responsible for a number of selected accounts for their day to day product and services requirements.

As the first point of call for these selected customer accounts, the responsibility and accountability will lie with this high calibre individual to:

  • Liaise between the customer, supplier and sales team to ensure effective, proactive account management.
  • Support the sales process though a broad range of communication methods telephone calls and e-mails to enhance relationships with customers, and engage with the relevant decision makers.

This position is a role, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress onto other field-based opportunities within Sales .

University Degree or Equivalent.Relevant experience in having worked for similar IT based organisations in a sales supporting role.

Demonstrable Skills required

  • IT Literacy and basic understanding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Excellent Organisational Skills
  • Excellent Telephone Manner
  • Very Strong Time Management
  • Taking ownership / accountability and responsibility
  • Experience of Quoteworks and Autotask would be would be an advantage ( or similar CRM / Quoting tools
