Group Marketing Manager - Consumer Events - Marketing Manager Events is required to be responsible for the marketing strategy to deliver commercial & wider company objectives for two consumer events. You will be required to deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns which will include implementing marketing initiatives (both trade & consumer) to ensure they attract the forecasted visitor numbers but also exhibitors and sponsors to participate in the events. The position would suit an experienced Marketing Manager with a passion for motoring and a strong background in consumer exhibitions and / or events.

ROLE: Group Marketing Manager

LOCATION: London

BASIC SALARY: £40k to £45k

ROLE:

-Plan and manage the marketing campaigns including media planning, advertising spend, creative briefing, brand management, media/retail/cross promotions, PR, digital and social media

-Deliver the marketing campaigns across all channels, with support from a marketing executive

-Plan, manage and control the marketing budget

-Project manage digital marketing channels alongside the marketing executive, including:

Website - perform regular audits, maximise effectiveness and update appropriately

Email campaigns - write, build, launch and ensure best practise of regular emails to database

Online content and social media - create and implement social media campaign

-Copywriting for digital and print campaigns

-Work closely with the appointed PR agencies in generating pre, at and post show coverage, maximise use of show talent and event promotions

-Management of all supplier and advertising agency output

-Liaise with existing media partnerships, and explore new opportunities, to ensure all partnerships are fully executed on time and to a high standard

-Work closely with the sales team, operations team and Event Director to fulfil commitments to sponsors, media partners and stakeholders

-Brainstorming, exploring and implementing new routes to market

-Ensure all materials and marketing agreements adhere to strict brand guidelines

-Implement strategic pricing using structured ticket models

-Produce, maintain and analyse ticket reports

-Manage the approval process of all marketing communications

-Generate analysis and evaluation reports of all marketing, promotional and press activity to distribute and to inform future plans and activity

-Establish contacts and network with industry-specific media, personalities and brands

-Analyse activity throughout the campaign to maximise ticket sales and revenues

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

As Marketing Manager for two CONSUMER events, the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate in-depth experience in consumer event marketing as well as the following attributes:

-Proactive and able to work both as part of a team and independently

-Strong copywriting and creative skills

-Good understanding and experience of brand management

-Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines a must

-Strong Management skills and ability to develop junior team members

-Ability to work with all team members (from the most junior to the most senior)

-Interpersonal skills, excellent communicator

-Advanced Word, Powerpoint and Excel skills

-A true passion for and knowledge of the automotive industry and motoring in general
