Composite Design Engineer - Structural Strengthening
An exciting new role exists for a Technical Engineer to join a global manufacturer of chemicals and adhesives for the construction industry. They have an excellent presence in the UK across a huge product range, and due to growth they are now looking for a qualified Engineer to join their dynamic team.
The main purpose of the role is to assist their network of Structural Engineers in the design of their composite range (fibre reinforced polymers). To develop relationships with new engineering practices as well as liaising with property and asset owners in promoting structural strengthening and design ideas.
To keep up with current design practices associated with this field. To carry out CPD presentations, working with the UK specification team as required.
Overall, you will be supporting the UK composite business, supporting strengthening projecs from initial material evaluation to ongoing applications. Whilst working with the specification and UK building products teams, you will drive the development of sales and maintain relationships with key contacts.
A degree in Structural Engineering is required.
Ideally you will have experience of working for a multi functioning engineering practice with involvement in composite design, or a competent knowledge of composite strengthening components and current design standards within the construction sector.
A full clean driving licence is required.
The advertised salary range is dependent on level of experience, as they may consider a newly qualified Engineer with minimal experience. A company car will be provided plus phone, laptop and pension.
