This is an exciting opportunity for an Head of Procurement to lead a team buyers, managing a spend of across pharmaceutical products, medical devices and some indirect procurement services. This is an opportunity to create build a strategic procurement function from a greenfield site.

Description

The Role

  • Develop the sourcing strategy and help support growth plans within the business.
  • Managing a spend of across pharmaceutical products, medical devices and some indirect procurement services.

  • Negotiate supplier agreements and agree contracts across multiple suppliers

  • Manage a team of 2 buyers.

  • Developing key supplier relationships, negotiating on major contracts and driving efficiency.

  • Identifying opportunities to bring new cost savings.

  • Maintain and develop key internal relationships.

  • Working in a fast paced environment, with a diverse portfolio of products.

  • Managing risk, ensuring quality and enabling a collaborative environment.

  • Develop and implement fixed contracts and Service level agreements with key vendors and contractors, ensure review processes and KPI's are in place.

Profile

Experience

  • Proven track record of procurement buying raw materials.
  • More than 5 years' management experience of procurement.

  • Significant experience of contract and tender management

  • Experience of leading and managing complex projects

  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures

  • Understanding manufacturing environment

Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of sourcing products & materials from around the world.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and budgeting techniques

  • Knowledge of the principals and precedents of contract law

  • Strong time management, planning and prioritising skills

  • Proven track record of achieving specific and set objectives efficiently, on time and within budget

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people from varying occupational and professional backgrounds

Job Offer
