Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy Bond - OTE £72,000 Minimum
Ascension is working with a boutique renewable energy company with their Head Office in Edinburgh and investor relations team in Canary Wharf. It is in the Canary Wharf office where the heart of their clients’ business is created and due to rapid expansion of their projects, more bonds have been released which has resulted in an increase in a need for professionals on the phones to promote these bonds. They operate within the clean energy sector and have robust relationships with land owners, developers, planners and energy suppliers across the UK. They currently have 5 fully complete and operational sites across the UK and have planning consent for 3 more in Northern Ireland. Their product and service is asset backed and in a government backed sector. Whilst it is an unregulated market, our client works closely with the FCA to ensure their clients understand not just the rewards and benefits but also the risk associated with investing.
As a Corporate Bond Sales / Investor Relations employee, your primary responsibility will be selling the opportunity strictly to HNWI and self-certified sophisticated investors. The investment vehicles entry level is £7,500.
The client will benefit from a highly competitive interest rate payment coupons between 7-9%. The USP to investors is that the energy sector is government backed and the income generated by my client is through guaranteed payments through tariffs and electricity sales back to the grid.
All prospective clients come through strategic marketing campaigns such as PPC (pay per click), banner ads and email listings therefore all leads are warm and there is no cold calling involved in this position.
You will be targeted on generating a minimum of £150,000 per month. This is a work hard play hard environment, with working hours being 10:00 to 20:00 so clock watchers and the unmotivated need not apply.
Whilst this experience could be deemed as attractive it is essential the next hire is key and fits with the existing team and its culture.
Full in-depth product, industry and compliance training is on offer the client is open to hiring from the following sectors and disciplines; Recruitment, Business Development, Sales management, Property, Sales, Bonds.
They are offering a retainer of £2,250 per month but this is in no way meant to incentivise and is offered as security until you start generating your own commission. The commission structure is industry leading, transparent and tiered as follows:
·3% up to £100,000 = up to £3000 commission per month
·4% from £100,000 to £200,000= up to £4000 commission per month
·5% from £200,000+ = £7,000+ commission per month
Minimum On track Earnings = £72,000
