Purpose of Job

To systematically manage and develop the business in the allocated sales region by visiting customers, negotiating sales, winning orders and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction in all areas of activity. To work with the UK and global sales teams to actively establish and grow business in all key target industries. To provide and sustain excellent customer service.

Duties

  • To sell the component range of filtration products, with focus on hydraulic and automatic filters , service and spares in all industries.
  • To take an active interest and assume responsibility for business development in all areas of the business, but especially in industries such as power unit manufacturer , machine tools , automotive and chemical industry where these products are preferably used.
  • To develop new business in the filtration industry by securing orders from both existing customers and new clients through pro-active searching out of clients and business opportunities.
  • To develop the distribution network by growing our existing partners as well as look for new distribution channels and actively work on large endusers by solving their filtration needs.In addition the OEM business will also be an important market to develop since our products are widely accepted throughout Europe .
  • To work towards and achieve budget in conjunction with the Aftermarket Manager with a view to growing the filtration business by a minimum 15% year on year.
  • To develop and maintain a live sales plan showing progress against budget, customer plans and forecast orders with percentage probability.
  • To attend all sales and business meetings and also training as a required. This may mean travel overseas and/or overnight stays away from home.
  • Assist with the development of all new markets in conjunction with personnel of other divisions of the Group as deemed suitable by the Aftermarket Manager.
  • Provide feedback of market trends and situations by weekly reporting to the Aftermarket Manager.
  • To develop and maintain customer and industry specific pricing policies and plans in line with corporate intercompany pricing whilst maximizing profitability.
  • To liaise between customers and finance to assist with any commercial issues arising from business activities.
  • To become fully conversant with the company’s ISO 9001 system and work within the documented system ensuring high standards of quality are maintained at all times.
  • Comply with all site health & safety and induction requirements for company & customers when visiting their site(s) and behave in a responsible manner that represents the Group professionally and to the highest standard.
  • Regional sales visits with some potential global sales visits.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering discipline.
  • Sales training accreditation is preferable.

Skills and Experience

  • Filtration industry experience would be a distinct advantage.
  • The ability to influence and close sales opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • The ability to work unsupervised and to manage your own business area.
  • Sales Experience in a wide range of industries including Fluid Power with hydraulic power units and lube oil system, automatic filters for the process industry ,Automotive and Pulp and Paper
  • Ability to report on sales development and analyse business trends.
  • Computer Literate and comfortable using modern communication equipment.
