A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Information Governance Officer, to join a renowned and thriving company based in Birmingham. As Information Governance Officer, you will be supporting the delivery of effective Information Governance in order to meet required internal and legislative controls and improve business efficiency where possible.

As an Information Governance Officer, your main duties will be as follows:

  • To support the delivery of Information Governance and strategic initiatives improvement projects across the company.

  • Provide support as the first point of contact for Information Governance queries.

  • Triage incoming requests for information.

  • Help contribute and deliver Information Governance activities, liaising with internal staff

  • Processing requests under the company’s transparency code.

  • Demonstrate the company’s compliance with regulation and legislation by compiling reports.

The Information Governance Officer will have the essential skills/experience:

  • Good knowledge of Information Governance and an understanding of relevant legislation.

  • Demonstrable experience management and triage of freedom of subject access requests.

  • Can work exceptionally within a team and holds excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.

  • Will need to have previously worked within the NHS.
