One of the leading private providers of short term accommodation and support services in the public sector has approached BRC seeking a permanent Supported Housing Officer in Gloucester.

Our client currently provides accommodation services to numerous organisations across the UK and is one of the largest providers of housing to the Home Office who are committed to providing not only better value for their customer, but also a far more sustainable and innovative housing solution that complements their ambitions for the future.

DAY TO DAY DUTIES:

- Working remotely you will travel daily to provide direct support and a property management service to Service Users (Asylum Seekers) across Swindon.

- Manage a portfolio of 40+ properties which provides accommodation for approximately (Apply online only) clients

- Attend dispersal and conduct induction of Service Users into their property 

- Sign-post as necessary to doctors, shops, external support agencies, etc 

- Conduct fortnightly visits and report any incidents, issues, absconsions, etc. 

- Arrange initial transport of Service Users`s to their accommodation or any relocation as required

- Conduct inspections and report maintenance defects as required 

- Ensure all items within void properties are replaced /repaired as required in line with inventory procedure

- Make recommendations to line managers regarding any relocations of Service Users and termination of properties to provide more efficient use of portfolio/void management 

- Prepare property for re-occupation after move on

- Ensure terminated properties are effectively prepared for hand back to landlord 

- Carry out property inspections to ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained 

- Ensure all property and Service User records are maintained and kept up-to-date according to company policies and procedures

To be considered for this post you MUST have:

- Previous experience of providing a housing management or supported housing service  to clients living in social housing

- A full driving license with access to a car

This position is home absed and working 20hrs a week over 5 days.
