Communications Officer - Major Civil Engineering Project

Our client is one of the country's largest privately owned contractors within annual turnover in excess £5billion per annum and with interests across all aspects of construction. They are continually looking towards the future with heavy investment in new innovation and are always looking to make sure they are their people are at the cutting edge of their industry.

They are currently at the initial stages of one of the highest profile infrastructure projects along the Thames which will eventually alleviate all raw sewage away from the London region .

They are currently looking for a communications officer to work alongside the project director on this project .

Responsibilities
•Develop work site communications plan to maximise positive communications opportunities.
•Liaise with parent company communications teams and client communications team who will govern and advise on branding and oversee any external communications needs.
•Manage the production of high quality communications materials including the preparation and issue of project newsletters, team briefings, presentations, award submissions and project information sheets with support of apprentices
•Work with the project and client team to ensure hoarding and signage meet brand requirements
•Liaise with the project communications team to provide updates for the company website, case studies, notify them of potential PR opportunities etc
•Contribute to the project media activity planner.
•Manage all work site and employee engagement/team building events
•Manage all project wide photography and video requirements.
•Support the delivery of the Legacy and community investment programmes with any communications needs including collating case studies and success stories.
•Support volunteering, school engagement, and STEM activities with any communications needs including collating case studies and success stories.

Key Skills and Experience
•Experience in working in communications role or having studied communications related subject essential, advance if worked in construction environment.
•Natural ability to communicate and maintain good working relationships.
•Good verbal, written and presentation skills.
•Good time management and self-motivation skills.
