Afternoons - £12.21 PH PAYE / £15.38 PH LTD
Hours per week: 37.5
Duration: 12 Month's +
Start date: 22/5/17 onwards

Client Overview:

The Shorterm Group is currently recruiting for a number of Electrical Test Technician's to join a rapidly expanding team based within the Midlands. The successful candidates will be working for UK's largest railway manufacturer and will be performing electrical testing Electrical Panels, sub-assemblies and cable harness's that will be installed onto Rolling Stock Vehicles. The individuals will be required to run fault finding investigations and report findings clearly to management.
Job overview:

Duties will include;

*Repair and fault finding on Rolling-stock components to ensure that we provide our customer with a reliable, safe and defect free train.
*The use of Multi Meters, Automatic Test Equipment and Flash Testers to test and fault find on Electrical Components.
*Following precise written instructions to test and repair equipment.
*Insulation & Earth Bond Testing
*General Cable Assembly including Crimping, Plugging, and Soldering

Person Profile/Experience:

We are looking for skilled technicians from a variety of background's including those with Rolling Stock, Rail, Aerospace or Automotive experience. Ultimately we are looking for proactive technicians who are capable of following precise instructions and completing written reports. Candidates will have to demonstrate relevant Electrical Test experience and a methodical approach to their work. Those who have recently gained their qualifications and are looking to gain experience are welcome to apply.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

*Must have electrical background and come from a similar discipline in engineering, rail, aerospace or automotive.
*Previous Flash Testing and Insulation Testing experience.
*Previous ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) experience is beneficial.
*Relevant Electrical Qualifications such as NVQ, City and Guilds, 17th Edition etc.
*Have obtained a PEO (performing engineering operations) level 2, BTEC Lvl 2, NVQ Lvl 2 or equivalent would be ideal but not essential.
