The Role – Maintenance EngineerThe Salary - £31,000 – PLC Training – Ex Forces apply – panel trainingShift – 4 on 4 offLocation – LeicesterThe CompanyMy Client is a leading manufacturer within the food industry and due to rapid growth and high demand within the business, they are now looking for a maintenance Engineer to join their highly skilled team.5 years ago, they had a turnover of £5m which has rapidly grown to a recent turnover of £25m, this has a target of £40m by 2022. Within the next few months they are moving to a bigger site (4 times its current size) which will enable them to produce over 50% more product and give them the opportunity to explore a variety of supply.My Clients main customer is Aldi as they supply 89% of their supply but also do business with Marks & Spencer’s and Greencore. Due to Aldi continuing to grow and opening new sites throughout the UK, my Client is guaranteed to grow by 13% each year. They will be exploring other business like ASDA and Sainsbury’s which will only help them grow further.The RoleThe Maintenance Engineer will be covering breakdowns on all electrical and mechanical equipment as well as helping with site services which will include office lighting etc.Training is provided on all sites equipment and further training will be funded by the business going forward, providing it will benefit them.My client only has a downtime of 25% which equals 250 minutes a week are spent on breakdowns whereas the rest will be covering PPMs which they pride themselves on. Rather than fixing a breakdown and waiting for the next, they are keen on being proactive rather than reactive and trying to continuingly improve and analyse why it has gone wrong.Electrically you could be covering anything from lighting in offices to Inverters. Most of the time spent will be fault finding against electrical drawings with a multi meter and covering the production lines, working on sensors, inverters, relays, motors, three phase systems and more. PLC work is done externally however, when moving to the new site PLC training is given as they will be looking to cover this off themselves.Mechanically the Maintenance Engineer will be stripping down any kit and replacing components when required such as shafts, sprockets, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, metal detectors, mixers and more.A lot of training will be given to the Maintenance Engineer with My Client and they are going through a huge positive change. The continued growth within the business is outstanding and investment in their staff is inevitable.The CandidateThe Successful Maintenance Engineer will have the following:
* Engineering qualifications (Mechanical or Electrical)* Electrical Knowledge* Drive to work for a growing business within a market leading industry
