TM Resourcing's specialist Technical & Engineering division are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-respected project management organisation. Operating mainly within the food processing, pharmaceutical, and chemical and oil & gas industries. They are now looking for a Process Engineer to join their team based in Huddersfield.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in varied projects within the company, all of which will include working closely with clients to understand and interpret their wishes.

Duties will include:

Carrying out process engineering design in support of company projects.

To carry out any other reasonable request made by the company management.
*

Consulting with clients to correctly interpret their process requirements and make proposals which fit these desires.
*

Working with other engineers in the company to develop proposal specifications and cost estimates.
*

Offering flexibility to work on both UK and overseas sites where required
*

Supporting detail design of projects to ensure compliance with process engineering requirements including compliance with current legislation and rules.
*

Commissioning as appropriate the projects undertaken by the company.
*

Showing initiative in identifying and dealing with problems arising in the projects undertaken.
*

Maintaining good communications with the company's engineers and the company's clients.
*

Maintaining written records of all projects.
*

Creating and maintain filing systems for all projects.
*

To deal sensitively with people, situations and confidential material.
*

To maintain an inquisitive mind, keeping abreast with the developments within the process industry and the legislation that controls it.

The Successful Candidate:

*

First class degree in Chemical Engineering or related subject
*

Possess working knowledge of the chemical process industry and the process engineering support functions necessary in that industry.
*

Be able to communicate with clarity in both spoken and written environments.
*

Work without supervision but ensure the agreement and co-operation of colleagues.
*

Be able to be self-critical and review decisions, calculations and documentation for relevance and accuracy.
*

Be computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet calculations and data base manipulation.
*

Be able to prepare Process and Instrumentation Diagrams and manipulate simple CAD draughting systems associated with these.
*

Pursue a flexible approach to working time and environment within the constraints of the project and office custom.

The salary for this position is negotiable and dependent on experience
