Elevation Senior Finance are currently looking to recruit a Commercial Plant Controller on behalf of a Global Manufacturing organisation in Leeds.

My client is keen to find a confident and personable qualified accountant with a passion for being involved in the wider business, driving the company forward and improving the processes and systems within. As a result they are open to considering both experienced Financial Controllers and Managers who are ambitious and are looking to take the next step in their career as long as they have the gravitas and knowledge to be involved in the commercial and operational decision making which will shape the path the business takes over the next few years.

Duties & Responsibilities

Business partnering
* Principal Member of Management team of the overall site.
* Provide comprehensive and compelling financial perspective to operating issues
* Participate in business tactical and strategic discussions.
* Identify opportunities for business improvement.

Operational controlling:

* Monthly analysis of financial profit and loss, capital spending other templates as requested.
* Responsible for the standard cost calculation and stock valuation, review of new products cost forecast.
* Responsible for the operational closing (analytical P&L and variance analysis)
* Providing detail on operational expenditure, including, purchase price variance, material usage variance, labor variances, volume impacts and overhead/burden/other product cost spending.
* A timely and accurate annual budget to be presented to and reviewed by European Finance and Manufacturing management.

Financial reporting

The Commercial Plant controller will support the Regional Financial Director to:

* Assure the integrity of the financial information provided externally and internally
* Assure appropriate statutory and tax compliance (UK gaap, US Gaap, SOX)
* Safeguard company assets, including administration of property accounting, equipment control and record retention programs.

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

* Recent relevant experience in Manufacturing
* Proven production and consolidation of monthly management accounts
* Recent production of year end statutory accounts / UK gaap, US Gaap, SOX
* Production of annual budgets and Forecasts
* Management of the working capital
* Excellent IT skills and experience of using SAP
* CIMA/ACCA or ACA Qualified
