Key Purpose of Role

The Activation Department is responsible for the planning and buying of Outdoor Media solutions on behalf of all of the company's agencies and clients. Account Managers are integral team members who oversee a number of accounts; planning and buying campaigns for clients/agencies in their team and developing good relationships with media owners. Account Managers are expected to oversee Account Executives and Junior Executives. They are expected to collaborate and share learning and experiences with the wider Activation department and to contribute to the company as an active member of the business.

Overview of Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in promoting the company's offering to clients and agencies and identify ways of driving more revenue
• Developing good working relationships with clients
• Finds new and better ways of servicing clients
• Effectively delivering competent OOH responses to brief for clients/agencies
• Present proposals, market updates and inductions to agencies and clients
• Actively promote all SBUs and identify ways of communicating benefits to agencies and clients to drive revenue
• Takes responsibility for resolving any client or campaign issues and escalate appropriately
• Presents quarterly insights and updates to agencies
• Undertakes competitive analysis
• Collates production requirements for the team
• Prepares post-campaign analysis
• Update internal databases as required
• Looks for new ways of improving quality and creativity to the ways of servicing clients/agencies
• Escalates challenging client issues and team issues appropriately
• Demonstrates creative solutions through data led planning and driving innovation and technology
• Demonstrates regular use of all company and industry tools and systems and training Account Executives and Junior Executives
• Ensure 4D planning is adhered to
• Good understanding of the company's planning methodology
• Promote and collaborate with other company teams on the benefits of converging OOH with mobile, digital, social and more established media
• Pro-actively steers Account Executives and Junior Executives to deliver to deadline
• Checks the work of Account Managers, Account Executives and Junior Executives that goes out to clients and agencies
• Builds good rapport and relationships with Media Owners
• Able to quote planning and buying rates and option and buy campaigns
• Can help co-ordinate short-term opportunities and monitor spend commitments with key Media Owners to ensure targets are met. Help monitor value delivered to agencies
• Negotiate pricing and book activity with media owners
• Keeping abreast of vendor news and forming an opinion
• Grows industry knowledge through internal training, attending seminars, industry events and media owner presentations
• Positively motivates the team and leads by example
• Provides direction and guides others
• Oversee and assist with internal recruitment requirements with the support of HR/Talent Team
• Acts as a Buddy for new starters
• Gets involved in the wider business; helping with training, forums, agency initiatives, developing tools and systems, creative ideas, internal and external events etc.

Qualifications/Skills Required
