Prinipal Transport Planner (Macro-modeller SATURN) required in Warrington immediately.

My client is an international traffic and transport engineering consultancy providing series in the development planning/control, policy, strategy, scheme appraisal/delivery and operational management. Due to strong pipeline of public and private sector schemes, they need to recruit 'hands on' transport planning/modelling consultants in the North West. Ideally with macro-modelling experience or someone looking to develop their modelling experience.
You will join an established and highly experienced transport modelling team which serves public transport sector and energy markets in Warrington. You will assist the ever growing transport team offering clients a wide range of multi-disciplinary services. The role will provide transport planning and macro-modelling expertise for strategic highway and rail projects for the like of Highways England, NWR, Crossrail and the National Grid. You will also assist the team with development planning work in the UK and UAE/Qatar.

You will be part of a successful transport modelling team in the North West and work with other teams in offices throughout the UK and Internationally. You will have the opportunity to work on iconic major transport schemes in the highway, development and rail sectors. Working 'hand in hand' with the Highways team producing transport models and solutions for the CDF Highways England framework. You will also have the opportunity to deal with key UK contractors on a day to day basis for major design & build schemes.
Qualification:
Degree educated in civil engineering, transport planning or geography
MSc in Transport related topic (desirable)
Knowledge of Highways Agency PSF or the new CDF procedure experience.
Knowledge of the application of WebTAG models
Excellent data analysis, report-writing and communication skills
Duties:
Delivery of transport/highway modelling projects, defined scope, budgets & timescales
'Hands on' strategic modelling using SATURN and CUBE
Analysis of data and production of model reports
Liaison with national and regional transport agencies, as well as energy client and local authorities
Account management, business development and commercial awareness
Quality assurance
Preparation of high quality proposals, report writing, development of other members of staff
