Based in Dunfermline an exciting new Clinical Trial Manager opportunity has arisen with a market leader of ophthalmology diagnostic devices. This is a new role as part of the company expansion plans and increased clinical trial activity. Working with the VP of Clinical Operations and Clinical Director you will become an integral part of the team managing all aspects of clinical trials from conception through to delivery and final reports. This role is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Clinical Research Associate or Junior Clinical Project Manager to progress their career.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical trials for internal and external studies. This will encompass all aspects of Phase IV studies, including protocol development, CRF design, regulatory compliance, monitoring, data collection/integrity and study report writing. Integral to the role will be delivery against project milestones achieved through robust project planning and tracking of quality standards, budgets and timelines. The role is highly interactive involving close liaison with other internal departments including inputting into marketing activities for medical communication purposes plus research and development for new product concepts. You will be responsible for the line management of corresponding Clinical Research and Project Associates plus overseeing the work of external service providers.

Due to the nature of the role travel in the UK and Europe will be necessary when advantageous to your studies and your time will be split between this and the office location.

Experience
We are seeking a committed individual with 5 years or more clinical trial operational or medical device experience. Ophthalmology experience would be advantageous however all other therapeutic area expertise will be considered including clinical trial experience gained within mainstream pharmaceutical. 

Educated to BA/BSc level in a relevant discipline you will be a great communicator and have the ability to build rapport and motivate in order to ensure projects remain on schedule and within set budgets. Line management or supervision within a clinical setting is essential while pre/post marketing participation, within clinical trials, would be beneficial.
