About this nursing role
Critical care is where your skills and training really come into play. No two patients are the same and every day is different. With my client, you can be secure in the knowledge that you`ll have all the support, training you need to handle whatever the role brings.

Reporting to the HDU and Resus Lead you`ll be part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team. And, with the hospitals consultant-led service, you`ll be working directly with some of the best clinical talent around, gaining experience with new practices, equipment and facilities. These are all maintained to our high standards as we take great pride in our low infection rates and high CQC scores at Nuffield Health.

Your key accountabilities will be:

- Supervising and supporting clinical support staff and junior staff in the delivery of care, providing education, training and mentorship to meet development needs
- Delivering high quality patient care, which is clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care as part of a collaborative programme

This purpose-built hospital has 64 beds, 8 theatres, an intensive care unit and other state-of-the-art facilities. Some of the world`s leading surgeons in a wide range of disciplines, including orthopaedics, cardiothoracic and neurosurgery work at this hospital. Staff are respected for their professional expertise and encouraged to get involved in decision-making. Located in Headington & convenient for buses and the park and ride scheme.

Nursing qualifications, skills and values
As a nurse registered with the appropriate governing body, you`ll have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration. You`ll also have post-registration experience. Immediate / Advanced Life Support is desirable.
