Website Analyst
Are you an experienced Website Analyst interested in working with a leading fashion retailer in their Customer Analytics/Digital team? The team currently operate five websites with four core sites across the UK, EU, US and Hong Kong and an Outlet website supporting that side of the business. Various other Digital assets are being reviewed from both an online and in store perspective. All of the sites are tagged with Google Analytics and other tools utilising Google Tag Manager as our Tag Management solution.


• Exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Website Analyst to drive the performance and analysis of Digital activities. You will join the Multi-channel function and act as the primary lead in terms of our website analytics and driving best practice in delivering customer insight and performance.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tagging implementation, completing analysis and providing commentary on e-commerce activities in order to drive performance across our online channels with a focus on looking at ways to improve processes and drive efficiencies and growth both in terms of performance and reporting / automation.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for delivering powerful insight, business understanding and recommendations to deliver efficiencies in digital activity and website performance, which will directly influence our acquisition and retention activities and customer experience online.
• A strong understanding of on and offsite digital performance using Google Analytics as the central insight and reporting tool.
• A good understanding of tagging implementation and campaign tracking across digital marketing and the website to enable performance reporting
• Proactively identify performance gaps in the different websites and make suggestions to drive improvements in customer experience
• Develop the trading focus for each website and support optimisation of the different selling channels
• Collaborate with different business teams including digital marketing, trading, CRM, customer services, merchandising, and logistics to support key customer strategies
• Produce regular reports on performance and work to automate these and provide them in a way that the wider team can utilise them to drive performance
• Predict marketing trends to stay ahead of the curve
• Improve general effectiveness and continue working on all areas of optimisation
• Working across multiple data platforms to help develop and deliver business critical solutions and customer insight

Essential Skills and Experience:

• The successful candidate will be ambitious with a hunger to drive commercial performance
• Expertise in Digital/Web analytics tools particularly using Google Analytics
• A digital mindset using customer data and trends
• Asks questions and seeks to continually make improvements
• A healthy level of resilience and sense of fun
• Background working within a Digital or Web analytics environment, including but not limited to Optimisation, Implementation, Reporting, Insight and Presentations.
• Experienced building dashboards
• A leading level of understanding of web measurement and analytical best practices

Desired Skills

• Excellent with numbers, ideally a degree in mathematics
• Loves the digital market place with a minimum 3 years’ experience in analytics
• A marketing background which focusses on numbers and data analysis
• Experience working with ETL solutions to automate reporting and piece together disparate data sources
• Experience working with MVT solutions and reporting on the performance of tests
