Would you describe yourself as an experienced ICT Teacher or NQT with a good knowledge of computing?

This highly regarded Academy in North Somerset is looking for a talented Teacher of Computing to start in September. The successful candidate will join the Department of Mathematics and Computing and there is the possibility of a teaching and learning responsibility allowance for the right candidate. There is an opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic individual to continue the shift of emphasis towards Computing throughout the 11-18 curriculum and to strengthen further the subject and its profile within the school.

Located in North Somerset, the school is situated within a commutable distance from Bristol and Taunton. This is an exceptional Academy with a desire to provide first class learning and is continually oversubscribed. It has an ‘Outstanding’ rating in its most recent Ofsted report.

If successful, you would be joining a strong, well run Department where you will be responsible for teaching pupils across the Key Stages. Since September 2016 the Computing and Maths department have become integrated ensuring a consistent approach to the delivery of Computing at key stage 3 the successful candidate will be expected in conjunction with the Subject Leader to further develop and strengthen this model.

In this role you would show a real enthusiasm to enable you to share with pupils what makes Computing exciting and engaging. This post would suit either a NQT or an experienced ICT Teacher with knowledge of Computing looking to develop their experience in a fantastic school.
