An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Internal Quality Assurer to join our fast-growing young company with an innovative approach to delivering pre-employment training, apprenticeships and other work based learning programmes.

Role Overview

Part of your role will be to:

To effectively support quality assurance process within the business. Actively manage the Quality Assurance, process of assessors, trainers engaged with learners, employers, associates and partners. To promote Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Safeguarding to secure new business, retain existing clients. Manage the QA process and contribute and support to all colleagues within the business.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people you are responsible for or come in contact with

· Drive success rates

· Driving quality improvement plans

· Support self-assessment and development

· Managing accurate and effective completion of all documentation to ensure contractual requirements are adhered to

· Manage and drive the quality assurance process

· Report timely and accurate data to line manager

· Standardise and monitor learning programme delivery (verification)

· Plan, deliver and attend communications meetings including 121s and conducting regular agreed field observations of tutors/assessors

· Quality assure the assessment on a range of short course qualifications to Level 2

· Plan and prepare EV visits


· Experience of Lean organisation techniques and Business improvement tools and techniques

· In-depth knowledge of pre-employability courses

· Proven line management and team leadership skills

· Occupational competence within relevant sector

· Knowledge of funding requirements

· Effective communication skills

· Planning, organisational and multi-tasking skills

· Achieved A1/D32

· Achieved IQA/V1/D33/D34

· Hold a teaching qualification

· The ability to work in a team and independently

· Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills both at a written and spoken level

· IT literate

· Ability to work across all levels and engage with people accordingly

· Able to demonstrate attention to detail and high-quality work

· Good personal organisation, time management and administrative skills

· Self-motivated and effective team player

· The ability to work flexible hours and locations

· Knowledge of funding and awarding organisation

· Driving licence and use of own car

· Quality focused to meet deadlines for achievement of challenging targets and project/activity requirements

· Ability to work on own and is self-motivated

· Ability to manage own diary and caseload of employers and clients

· Ability to think on your feet

Location: Birtley office based although national/regional travel maybe required

Hours of work:Monday - Thursday 9am- 5pm - Friday 9am-4.30pm

Salary: 28k-30k
